Nevada Senator Harry Reid today discussed the importance of passing the Travel Promotion Act. In many respects, this bill will use the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authoritys (LVCVA) model for Las Vegas by creating a Corporation for Travel Promotion to market the United States around the globe as a tourist destination. Reid is confident that, by increasing overall travel to the United States, this legislation will also increase the number of visitors to Nevada.
